Tristan Delacroix
Seventeen year old Tristan Delacroix has won medals in the ultra challenging sport of rowing. Born and raised in New York, he played in a variety of sports before deciding to concentrate his focus on rowing at age 14. With two to three practice sessions six days a week, rowing is considered by many to be the most difficult of sports because it involves every training discipline.
Tristan is combining his well developed skills of discipline and focus to launch United Athletes for Peace. He traveled to other countries to compete including Romania and saw the mutual respect among athletes regardless of the ability to speak the same language. These international connections and interactions laid the groundwork for him to establish the non-profit United Athletes for Peace.
Tristan has genuine concerns about the growing number of wars without end in the world today. He has assembled a team to recruit athletes, coaches and rowing clubs to become Peace Ambassadors to advocate for a world beyond war.
While all this sounds ambitious, Tristan is equally hard at work with his studies in Psychology, Economics, History and Brain Health.
